A casserole serves as “an oven within the oven.”   Your dish will bake evenly and efficiently.  You will want to serve right out of the casserole, as it is pleasant to look at and will keep your food warm for a long time.  Just be careful to serve portions and not pass the casserole unless it has cooled off.  

 

Cleanup for stoneware is easy.  It acts in the way of non-stick pans, with food coming away from the bottom and sides of the casserole with little scrubbing.

 

Stoneware is safe to use in conventional ovens, convection ovens, microwave ovens, and is freezer-safe and dishwasher safe.   Stoneware needs to come to room temperature before you take it from the freezer to the oven, otherwise there is danger of cracking.
